TECORE Wireless Systems has announced the commercial availability of its CoreCell CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Revision A product line in Pico, Micro, Mini and Macro (omni directional and sectored) configurations. These integrated Radio Access Network (RAN) products deliver the latest in 3G applications and services, and support peak data rates of 3.1 Mbps on the forward link and 1.8 Mbps on the reverse link. The optimized data rates and low latency of EV-DO Rev A enable service providers to deliver content-rich multimedia services, at the lowest cost per bit compared to cellular technologies. The unique integrated architecture of CoreCell facilitates overlay implementations, and allows operators to leverage the efficiency and services of EV-DO Rev A while maintaining their existing installed CDMA or GSM infrastructure.
The CoreCell EV-DO is designed to meet the needs of specialized wireless networks for applications in rural and remote telephony, wireless local loop, and emergency response communications. The configuration options include traditional macro architecture as well as others appropriate for in-building, Small Medium Enterprises (SME), Small Office-Home Office (SOHO), maritime and airborne applications. Today, available operational frequencies include 450MHz, 800MHz, 1.8GHz, 1.9GHz, and 2.1GHz.
