Thales Communications, Inc. has formed a new operating entity focused on broadening the company’s offerings to the U.S. Department of Defense. A wide range of C4ISR (part of the Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) domain technology, including optronics, will now be marketed and supported in the U.S. through an expansion of the Thales Communications organization. In 2003, the company launched a new naval and maritime communications business that is successfully delivering Thales’ automated, integrated shipboard high frequency (HF) communication systems into the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard.
Diane Reineke will lead the new organization as vice president. A member of the Thales Communications senior leadership team since 2004, she served as vice president of business development for Thales Communications. Prior to joining Thales in 2004, Ms. Reineke spent more than 20 years at Lockheed Martin, where her last position was director, business development, and Army C4I programs—Clarksburg, Maryland
