Advent Communications is preparing to communicate most eagerly with visitors to their IBC booth. Their portable and mobile satellite uplinks will all be on display, and the new IP modem — ADM5000 L Band Modem — has also arrived. This is a compact L-band IESS and DVB modem in 1U, half rack form factor. Not only is this unit compliant with IESS 308, 309, 310, 314 and 315 standards, but also DVB EN301210 and EN300421. Additionally, there is the MIL18165A optional compliance.
The latest version of the SD/HD-capable DVE5000 (Digital Video Exciter) L-band, MPEG encoder will be available for viewing. An HPA controller is integrated with the encoder, which is rather unique. The offering supports a wide range of TWTA and SSPA’s, with the encoder supporting QPSK, 16 QAM and 64 QAM as well as DVB-S2. Other devices include an Antenna Control Unit and an Upconverter, with all of the electronics in a half-rack and 1U in height… reducing weight and required rack space.
Check out the FlyDrive, the latest antenna to join in the Advent portfolio. This is available in 1.2m and 1.5m, Ku or C-band and is designed for easy transport overseas by air, with IATA compliant packaging. Advent will be arranged most prominently in Stand No. 1.161—Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom
