Infostellar Inc. welcomes NorthBase, a leading Finnish ground station services provider as the newest partner in the StellarStation network.

Through this partnership, Infostellar and NorthBase have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate strategically in the sales and marketing of ground station services and to enable flexible sharing of their ground station assets.
At the core of this partnership is StellarStation cloud platform, which virtualizing ground station networks and allows satellite operators to access ground stations from various service providers through a unified interface. StellarStation simplifies ground station access – after a one-time setup per mission, operators can access any ground station within the Infostellar network.
Adding NorthBase assets in Finland to Infostellar’s ground station network gives a great new location to the users of StellarStation. NorthBase Muonio site offers services on S and X bands at 68 degrees northern latitude, providing exceptional visibility to polar orbit satellites. The site offers GSaaS as well as antenna hosting with high grade infrastructure and security arrangements.
Partnering with NorthBase adds a very powerful new site to the StellarStation network for the benefit of all our customers,” said Naomi Kurahara, CEO of Infostellar. “At the same time, it strengthens our overall position in Europe, bringing us closer to the clients in the fast-growing European market.”
Being part of the StellarStation network is a great opportunity for us. Infostellar has clientele in regions where we have not previously been present, and we, in turn, provide Infostellar customers with an exceptionally good location in Northern Europe. You can take my word when I say there is very little interference and lots of room in Finnish Lapland, and the visibility from 68 degrees north is very good”, said NorthBase chairman, Dr. Tommi Rasila.
