In a first-of-its-kind decision, the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) approved a cross-border supply agreement for satellite internet services, marking a groundbreaking regulatory precedent in Korea. This license enables the commercial rollout of OneWeb’s LEO connectivity across the country’s maritime, military & government, and enterprise markets — opening the door to a new era of next-generation satellite broadband access.
Eutelsat OneWeb operates major LEO satellite networks, providing secure, low-latency, high-speed broadband with global coverage. The network is already operational across multiple regions, delivering critical connectivity in areas where terrestrial infrastructure is limited or unavailable. The service addresses connectivity demands across diverse applications including maritime, aviation, enterprise, and government networks.
