Completing the package, the free BaseCamp™ software allows users to plan trips ahead of time and transfer them to the RV 760LMT for directions.
RV 760LMT redefines “spoken turn-by-turn directions” with Garmin Real Directions, easy-to-understand driving directions that guide like a friend, using recognizable landmarks, buildings and traffic lights. No more stress from trying to read street names. Garmin Real Voice™ is refined speech technology that sounds more like a natural, friendly voice. Garmin Real Directions and Garmin Real Voice are features that are only available in Garmin GPS navigators. RV 760LMT also offers the convenience of voice-activated navigation. Users simply speak and the device responds to the commands.
The Active Lane Guidance feature uses a combination of voice prompts and visual cues to prepare users to drive through an exit or interchange with confidence. Active Lane Guidance displays an animated graphic next to the map view that uses brightly colored arrows to indicate the proper lane needed to make a turn. photoReal junction view realistically displays junctions and interchanges, including the surrounding landscape and road signs along the route. RV 760LMT also displays speed limit, current speed and accurate time of arrival.
With the included combination power cable/traffic receiver, the RV 760LMT offers free traffic information, helping to avoid traffic jams. Plus, the free BaseCamp™ desktop software allows users to plan their RV trips ahead of time. Users can create routes along specific roads and search for points of interest, including local attractions, restaurants and fuel stops. The pre-planned trip can be downloaded at no charge to the RV 760LMT for a stress-free ride.
Garmin Adventures, powered by BaseCamp, is a free, interactive way to share trips with friends and family. Users can combine routes, waypoints, geotagged photos, YouTube® videos and more into an adventure that can be shared online. Garmin Adventures also allows users to rate their trips, read reviews and download routes shared by fellow RVers. Users can sync a smartphone via Bluetooth for hands-free calling through the integrated microphone and speaker of the RV 760LMT. The device is also compatible with Smartphone Link, a free mobile app that connects the navigator with an iPhone® or Android™ smartphone to receive live services4. This includes current weather and seven-day forecasts, among other features. The Advanced Weather function also provides animated radar images on a map, indicating types of precipitation such as rain, snow and ice, to help drivers avoid bad driving conditions.
