BP Pumped On Hughes Network Systems’ Continuation

Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES) has signed a contract extension with BP Corporation Inc. to continue providing HughesNet Managed Network Services connecting BP’s retail locations in the United States and in the European countries of the United Kingdom, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Germany.

The five-year extension to the current contract calls for the continued support and management of both wireline and wireless broadband technologies at more than 16,000 current retail locations,  including implementation of new sites as they come on line. HughesNet Managed Network Services is a fully managed, broadband offering that creates a seamless network for mid-to-large-sized enterprises by utilizing the most cost-effective transport technology available at each site. The resulting technology blend ensures timely, reliable delivery of business-critical information to and from any location while optimizing network performance and costs. In addition, HughesNet Managed Network Services provides a single point of contact for enterprise-wide network management, reducing associated administrative costs and complexity.
