SES SIRIUS, a SES ASTRA company, has delivered the SIRIUS 4 satellite to the Baikonour Cosmodrome. The launch, set for November 18th, remains subject to confirmation following the Proton mission on October 25th, with three Russian Glonass navigation satellites aboard. The shipment of the SIRIUS 4 spacecraft follows the clearance to resume the Proton launch schedule by the Russian commission investigating the launch mishap that occurred on September 6th. Full review of the investigation findings was given to SES, who also participated in the Failure Review Oversight Board. SIRIUS 4 is a multi-mission Ku- and Ka-band satellite that will be deployed at the orbital position of 5° East. The Lockheed Martin A2100AX platform, the building block of the SIRIUS 4, will further extend coverage throughout Eastern Europe—Solna, Sweden
