Inmarsat Gobbles Up Turnkey Billing Solution

Inmarsat plc has glommed onto a real-time Turnkey Converged Billing solution from Redknee Solutions Inc. The latter firm provides infrastructure software that monetizes and personalizes services for mobile operators. For the first phase, Redknee provided new billing functionality that became active last November, and subscribers of Inmarsat’s Satellite Phone Service (SPS) can receive these services. The second phase will find Redknee working on a similar solution for Inmarsat’s Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN). This is a multi-million dollar agreement which was won by Redknee after a competitive tender process—Toronto, Ontario
