The U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) has announced performance will begin on the Warfighter Field Operations Customer Support (FOCUS) contract. General Dynamics Information Technology joined the Warrior Training Alliance team, comprised of Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC, Computer Sciences Corporation and 64 additional companies. The contract fully integrates the live, virtual and constructive training operations and support systems at Army installations worldwide.
The consolidated contract creates the potential for efficiencies within the Army. "Under this new approach for contracted training services, we look forward to providing a workforce that is able to flex across live, virtual, and constructive training support at Army installations around the world," said Russ McBride, PEO STRI Program Manager for Field Operations. Warfighter FOCUS supports the Army’s modernization plan by fostering a state-of-the-art, high-fidelity and immersive training environment. To do this, PEO STRI has awarded this indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract to consolidate the operations, maintenance, systems integration and engineering support services for the Army’s live, virtual and constructive training systems at combat training centers, home stations and in-theater—Orlando, Florida
