The Middle East will be represented at IBC. Arab Satellite Communications Organization (ARABSAT) will participate in the Exhibition of the International Broadcasting Conference IBC-2018 in Amsterdam during the period of September 13-18, 2018, at booth B.138.
ARABSAT recognizes the importance of participating at IBC as it is considered the largest international gathering attended by a group of experts and professionals engaged in the field of satellite TV broadcasting.
Eng. Khalid bin Ahmed Balkheyour, President and CEO of ARABSAT, said that during the exhibition, ARABSAT will showcase its latest agreements that enhance their Hot Spot 26 degrees East, and will announce the signature of new contracts and agreements.

In January of this year, the League of Arab States Secretary-General Honored ARABSAT CEO during the first Media Conference of the Arab Joint Labor Organizations held in Cairo.

The ceremony was attended by Arab organizations and a numerous Arab media figures.
His Excellency gave the Shield of Honor to Eng. Khalid Bin Ahmed Balkheyour, President and CEO of ARABSAT, in recognition of the great role he played in the field of Arab Joint Labor. The Secretary General praised the excellent performance of ARABSAT in the field of satellite communications, which ranked ARABSAT among the world class international satellite operators through its ambitious programs and recent projects.
Founded in 1976 by the 21 member-states of the Arab League, ARABSAT has been serving the growing needs of the Arab world for over 40 years, operating from its headquarter in Riyadh-KSA and two Satellite control stations in Riyadh and Tunis.
Now ARABSAT carries over 500 TV channels, 200 radio stations, pay-tv networks and wide variety of HD channels reaching tens of millions of homes in more than 80 countries across the Middle East, Africa and Europe which includes an audience of over 170 million viewers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region that access ARABSAT’s video “hotspot” at 26 degrees E.
Operating a growing fleet of satellites at the 20 degrees E, 26 degrees E, 30.5 degrees E, 39 degrees E and 44.5 degrees E, ARABSAT is the only satellite operator in the MENA region offering the full spectrum of broadcast, telecommunications and broadband services. This capacity will continue to expand with the launching of new satellites, making ARABSAT satellites’ fleet the youngest in the region.
