Mark Daniels, an executive with 24 years of broad experience managing engineering and operations groups in the satellite communication and aerospace industries, has been named Vice President, Engineering & Operations, of Intelsat General Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Intelsat Ltd. Mr. Daniels will provide resource management and technical leadership to the engineering and operations groups, overseeing the budget, recruitment, training, assignment, development, and execution of the Intelsat General engineering, program management, and teleport operations personnel. Mr. Daniels is also responsible for managing the Intelsat General Secure Operations Center (ISOC). In addition, he will provide technical advice to Intelsat General President William Shernit on a broad variety of satellite and telecommunications technologies and manage liaison activities with the Intelsat Ltd. engineering and operations management staff. During the last 10 years, Mr. Daniels served in senior program management, engineering management, and operations management positions at Verestar Government Services, PanAmSat, and ORBCOMM, where he was responsible for the design, integration, implementation, operation, and maintenance of complex hybrid satellite & terrestrial communication solutions in the FSS and MSS industries—Bethesda, Maryland
