Raytheon Company [NYSE: RTN] has exclusive teaming agreements with Harris Corporation and HP as part of an industry-leading team in pursuit of the 30M/USD U.S. Air Force Global Broadcast Service Satellite Broadcast Manager transition contract. The GBS is a critical mission support system for the military and will provide wideband internet protocol broadcasts of video, imagery, and other information to support forces on post, in transit, and in theater. This effort will integrate GBS into future net-centric operations across the global information grid. The contract, which will be awarded by the Air Force Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, will transition GBS broadcast functionality to a centralized Defense Enterprise Computing Center and position this system to meet the evolving needs of the warfighter—Reston, Virginia
