Senior leaders from the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) will be participating in the 2007 Military Communications Conference (MILCOM) Oct. 29 through Oct. 31 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. They will discuss ways in which the organization is leading the U.S. Army to a fully interoperable training environment.
Dr. James T. Blake, SES, program executive officer for PEO STRI, will participate in the panel, "Defense Forum-Meeting the Warfighter’s Interoperability Requirements," Monday, Oct. 29 at 9:30 a.m. He will discuss the advancements PEO STRI is making toward a fully interoperable training environment. Blake will highlight the organization’s joint efforts in an effort to ensure that no U.S. force goes into harm’s way untrained. He will emphasize PEO STRI’s ongoing and future initiatives to achieve interoperable training and testing solutions to promote Warfighter readiness.
Col. Kevin Dietrick, deputy program executive officer for PEO STRI, will moderate "Meeting Warfighter Requirements on the Digital Battlefield: Interoperability between Testing, Training, and Operations," Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 2:15 p.m. in the Osceola 4 ballroom. This panel will explore current issues related to achieving radio-frequency spectrum allocation, secure communications, and networking. Leaders in C4I testing and training instrumentation, to include PEO STRI’s chief scientist, Roger Smith, will discuss the latest changes and development of state-of-the-art solutions.
