Celestia Technologies Group / TTI Present Their Ground Technologies Expertise In DC

March 23, 2022

Celestia Technologies Group / TTI is taking the opportunity at Satellite 2022 to present an extensive portfolio of products, systems and services in ground segment technologies, affirming its position as a leading player in the ground segment arena.

An international technology group focused on continuous innovation in communication, the business has a global network of multidisciplinary teams who create smart responses to communications challenges, with particular expertise in ground segment technologies. A full range of capabilities in equipment and systems integration, with a wealth of solutions and products spanning monitoring and control, baseband, RF equipment, antennas, ground stations, IoT and consultancy, is on offer.

Among the highlights presented at the company’s booth #821 at Satellite 2022 will be cutting edge solutions from the following group companies: TTI will feature its latest innovations in the field of RF and Antenna technologies for satellite communications, including Q/V band SSPAs and LNBs, space-borne amplifiers, passive RF components, low profile antennas and Cryogenic solutions for quantum computing and Radioastronomy.

One of a suite of products, it is based on GaN technology and offers a robust and flexible added value solution for multi-carrier uplinks. Modular and scalable, it provides GaN DBS SSPAs from 550W saturated power as standalone equipment up to higher power GaN SSPAs at 1KW, 2KW and 3.5KW through a phased combination. Already widely used in satellite broadcasting by many major teleport operators across Europe, it is one of a kind in the market at DBS frequency band, offering a reliable, cost-effective solution.

Q Band Product Portfolio

Alongside other new RF and Antenna products, TTI will also present a new range of Q band products including power amplifiers SSPAs and Low Noise Amplifiers LNAs/LNBs at the show. Additional details are available at www.ttinorte.es.

Celestia-STS, specialists in ground-based solutions for satellite testing, communications and data processing, has launched MPIP, a multi-purpose interface platform that offers a novel approach to spacecraft test and simulation. This is a modular, scalable electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) that enables space equipment builders or integrators to test and simulate different electrical interfaces in a fast, flexible, and cost-efficient manner. By combining interfaces into a single platform that’s completely scalable, it offers a highly effective and versatile testing solution for all spacecrafts, from large to small.

The MPIP integrates all interface types into a common architecture that supports the complete range of spacecraft on-board interfaces, such as Power, Discretes, SpaceWire and future High-Speed Interfaces like WizardLink, in a single platform. It is designed to support future space programs with data rates of up to 20Gbps and beyond, offering a versatile, cost-efficient, and easily maintainable spacecraft test and simulation system that answers new space trends. celestia-sts.com/

Callisto designs, manufactures and markets maintenance-free cryogenic LNAs that provide outstanding Ground Station Noise Temperature (NT). Using its expertise in Radio Frequencies and Cryogenic Systems, the business also provides a range of services including consultancy, engineering services, equipment design, system integration, RF MMICs Integration Services and thermal cycling testing at its facilities located near Toulouse, France. In 2020 the business was awarded a five year contract to upgrade the European Space Agency’s deep space antennas with the latest generation Callisto Cryogenic Receivers. These cryo-cooled feed systems have been designed to provide continuous cryogenic operation using an innovative system of two cold heads running in parallel, with the ability to remove one cold head for maintenance while the second is still cooling the RF components.

Celestia UK is building the next generation of very high data throughput satellite communication antennas for ground-based equipment to support the rapidly emerging new space environment. The business is working with the European Space Agency, UK Space Agency and commercial partners to develop compact, highly capable fully electronic multi-beam scanning gateways with no moving parts that address the demanding requirements of next generation data applications for ground stations and user terminals. These innovative antennas are capable of tracking and communicating simultaneously with multiple satellites and allow extremely rapid frequency and satellite switching, with applications across numerous markets including rural broadband internet, terrestrial backhaul, airborne communications, autonomous transport, facilities automation, earth observation and remote healthcare and education.

“For more than 25 years, the Celestia Technologies Group has been synonymous with world-class innovation, quality and engineering excellence with a customer focus,” said José Alonso, Chairman of Celestia Technologies Group. “We have a strong heritage in partnering with businesses and international space agencies from development to commercialization in a wide range of key enabling technologies and invest in research and development to give our customers a true competitive edge. “We look forward to the opportunity of showcasing our capabilities and innovations at Satellite 2022, and to partnering with customers in all their ground segment technology requirement.”
