The third Ariane 5 for this year has finished the integration of the Turksat-3A and Skynet-5C satellites at the Spaceport in French Guiana and is now complete. The integration work was undertaken at the upper level of the Spaceport’s Final Assembly Building. The Turksat-3A was completed first at the top of the launcher’s core cryogenic stage, followed by the Skynet -5C integration. This dual satellite payload is scheduled for launch aboard the Ariane 5 on Friday, May 30th. The payload stack will find the Turksat-3A in the lower passenger position. The satellite will be released during the final phase of a multi-step mission trajectory. The Skynet-5C, installed atop the SYLDA 5 dispenser system, then encapsulated in the Ariane 5’s ogive-shaped payload faring, will be the upper passenger.
