Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) has announced that Jennifer A. Manner will serve as Chairman of the Board for the Satellite Industry Association (SIA) for 2008. SIA is a U.S.-based trade association providing worldwide representation of the leading satellite operators, service providers, manufacturers, launch services providers, and ground equipment suppliers. The Association is the unified voice of the U.S. satellite industry on policy, regulatory, and legislative issues affecting the satellite manufacturing, launch and services business.
Ms. Manner is the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Mobile Satellite Ventures. She is responsible for all domestic and international regulatory and policy work including at the FCC, Congress, the Executive Branch, the International Telecommunications Union, and in foreign markets. Prior to joining MSV, Ms. Manner served as Senior Counsel to FCC Commissioner Kathleen Q. Abernathy, where she focused on international, satellite, wireless, new technologies and consumer issues—Reston, Virginia
