
On Tuesday, October 7 at 2:46 a.m. ET, Falcon 9 launched 28 Starlink smallsats to low-Earth orbit that will join the Starlink constellation from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Photos captured by Satnews.
This was the eighth flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched CRS-33, O3b mPOWER-E, Crew-10, Bandwagon-3, O3b mPOWER-D, and now three Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage landed on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship, which was stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

According to weather officials, there’s a 65% chance of favorable weather conditions at the time of the launch. Officials are monitoring weather conditions with concerns related to Liftoff Winds, Cumulus Cloud Rule. The forecast calls for a temperature of 79°F, light rain, 52% cloud cover, a wind speed of 19mph and 0.13in of rain.

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 is targeting Monday, October 6 for the launch of 28 Starlink smallsats to low-Earth orbit that will join the Starlink constellation from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida at 9:10 PM – 1:10 AM PDT.
The forecast calls for a temperature of 79°F, moderate rain, 99% cloud cover, a wind speed of 21mph and 1.63in of rain.
