Satcube has announced that Intelsat ordered 100 portable satellite terminals from the company, marking a significant milestone in volume orders.
The relationship between Satcube and Intelsat began in 2017 with integration and delivery of Satcube Ku- portable terminals on the Intelsat FlexMove network. During this time, the demand for portable satellite connectivity has grown worldwide supporting rapid deployment scenarios such as emergency response, disaster recovery, and remote news gathering.
In Q1, Satcube announced the construction of a new, state-of-the-art high-production facility in Karlstad, Sweden, to further support its regional supply line business model, current growth trajectory, anticipated volume orders and new business models. As a technology provider Satcube is experiencing rapid expansion in its teams in Gothenburg and Karlstad, Sweden, to support the growing demand for its portable satellite terminals. Today, the provider of portable terminals is serving NGO’s, media brands, and government agencies to enable critical communications including major weather events, and various types of crisis communication scenarios.
