[SatNews] TrustComm Inc. has been awarded a contract by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR). The contract enables Texas state and local government agencies to purchase managed telecommunications services directly from TrustComm. TrustComm’s DIR contract number is DIR-SDD-TMP-195.
From its secure teleport and network operations center (S-NOC) at Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base in Houston, TrustComm has successfully deployed a wide range of managed telecommunications solutions to many government agencies and commercial enterprises since 1999. TrustComm recently opened its new corporate headquarters with an expanded executive team and fully redundant S-NOC at the Quantico Corporate Center in Stafford, Virginia.
For many years, TrustComm’s secure telecommunications solutions have been successfully deployed by the Texas National Guard, the sheriff’s department of Harris County, Texas, and many other government agencies nationwide. TrustComm earned the National Guard’s Minuteman Award for outstanding disaster support during hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma.
Examples of the managed telecommunications services TrustComm can provide to Texas agencies under this DIR contract include: hosted services of customer-owned equipment; back-up and monitoring services for continuity of operations; cyber security; network tracing and scanning; staff augmentation; call-center services; network optimization; phone system management; and management of voice/data networks. The contract also will enable TrustComm to provide: onsite and offsite support for customer-owned equipment; maintenance support; installation; repair services; warranty tracking; record keeping; training; asset management; and stowage of spares.
