Kratos’ SAT satID® Satellite RF Interference Geolocation Does The Job
Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS) announced today that its SAT Corporation (SAT) subsidiary has launched the newest version of satID®, the industry’s leading RF Interference (RFI) Geolocation product.
satID is an all-in-one solution for locating and identifying sources of interference due to equipment failure, operator error, intentional jamming or unauthorized users. RFI is a growing industry challenge, one that increasingly leads to costly service disruptions, both for commercial and defense operations.
The launch of satID 3.0 is a milestone advancement in the field of RF interference mitigation, bringing together improvements to aid in accuracy and response times. Based on broad feedback from commercial and military geolocation operators, considerable enhancements were made to satID to create a more intuitive and streamlined user experience. The result is a new, highly flexible architecture that can scale to fit any type of customer installation, which includes support for distributed environments and multi-user access.
Additionally, satID 3.0 is integrated with SAT’s Monics®, the industry’s leading carrier monitoring solution. Monics is an advanced spectrum measurement and interference analysis product used by the majority of satellite and telecommunication providers around the world. Important data from Monics, such as detailed signal-under-signal characterizations, is pulled into satID’s graphical interface to provide an even more complete scenario analysis and greater geolocation confidence. With satID and Monics integrated together, the full spectrum of detection, characterization, identification and location of RFI becomes a seamless process for operators.

Kratos’ SAT Corp. Paid Multi-Millions To Detect Interference
Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), announced today that its SAT Corporation (SAT) subsidiary has received a multi-million dollar order to provide satellite interference detection and quality of service monitoring. The contract, awarded by one of the industry’s largest companies, includes SAT’s satellite monitoring product, Monics®.
Monics is an enterprise networked advanced spectrum measurement and interference analysis system used by the majority of satellite operators and telecommunications providers around the world. As a complete carrier monitoring system, Monics also provides advanced interference detection and analysis capabilities.
The Monics implementation will combine hardware and software components to provide monitoring for satellite uplink and downlink performance. Monics’ native scalability and flexibility enable a fully distributed, autonomous system for monitoring payload traffic and RF interference, including co-channel interference.
This will be the first satellite operator to implement both Monics and SAT’s new Monics Enterprise Manager (MEM). MEM will provide greatly enhanced visibility into the customer’s satellite payload performance along with centralized control over their monitoring assets. MEM adds an improved user interface that includes custom displays for alarm and data management as well as enhanced system administration.
Over the next three years, Monics will be installed in numerous locations around the globe. These locations will provide worldwide payload monitoring and interference detection to protect mission critical satellite bandwidth and supply real-time satellite payload situational awareness.
