Just released is the UPN-7400 from EM Research. This is a surface-mount frequency synthesizer that features exceptionally-low phase noise (-102 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz), using a 100 MHz external frequency reference, offering +6 dBm output power from a +5VDC supply drawing 200 mA current. The unit is available in a cost-effective, miniature surface-mount package of 0.90” x 0.90” x 0.15” (22.9mm x 22.9mm x 3.8mm), which makes it ideal for SatCom, Radar and Electronic Warfare applications. The UPN Series can be custom-designed to offer fixed or serially-programmable frequencies up to 10 GHz with extended temperature ranges, high vibration tolerance, up to +13 dBm output power and internal or external references.
