SeaSpace Acquires…Acquiring Minds Want To Know Whom…

[SatNews] An acquisition can be a smart move, especially when it further enhances the product/service a company provides for its clients — thus it was announced with SeaSpace Corporation. SeaSpace Corporation, a provider of satellite ground stations and processing software for remote sensing applications, announces the acquisition of the Remote Sensing Solutions products and services division of Vexcel Corporation.

SeaSpace currently provides remote sensing solutions to meet the requirements of a variety of users, including research, military and emergency response, and has TeraScan® systems in operation at more than 470 customer sites in over 35 countries and all seven continents, receiving and processing data from virtually all meteorological, oceanographic and environmental remote sensing satellites. Beginning in 2011, SeaSpace will support the next generation of U.S. Government satellites, including NPP, JPSS, and GOES-R.

The acquisition will immediately transfer remote sensing products to SeaSpace Corporation including Apex™ Remote Sensing Data Management System, various Synthetic Aperature Radar (SAR) software packages (including Focus™, Phase™, CALPRO™, Swath™, Scatter™, CCD Map™, OrthoSAR™), VersaSAR (a mobile SAR system capable of measuring small displacements), and Wireless Sensor Network Node (WSNN).
