CCW features business solutions for content creation, management and delivery, along with a range of satellite, fiber, and IP communications solutions. IDC will be showcasing our best in class scalable solutions, alongside nexgen video and audio platforms, to interested parties at Booth #534. IDC will be showcasing their new Tiernan Titan® encoder platform with an unprecedented group of core features at affordable prices and a variety of models tailored to specific industry requirements. The Titan® platform is designed to provide improved compression performance for HD transmissions in MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 that result in a dramatic reduction in bandwidth usage. Applications include HD sports contribution, news contribution, ATSC, ISDB-T, DVB-T, and HD support.

IDC will also be showcasing their new Seamless 3D® features by displaying a comprehensive end-to-end system for 3D contribution and distribution. IDC’s system features advanced efficient Sensio® compression to provide high quality 3D programming with up to a 50 percent reduction in bandwidth usage. This unique delivery system integrates single box solutions including the new Titan® 3D encoder and the SuperFlex ProVideo 3D receiver for guaranteed interoperability with simple installation and operation. IDC will also feature their PROFline STR satellite audio broadcast receiver with scalable options aimed at the demanding midrange radio market. The STR can be delivered in a basic low cost platform and upgraded to suit any users’ needs. With DVB-S2 and an ultra-low symbol rate, satellite capacity is squeezed to a minimum, while the MPEG4 AAC ensures great sounding audio. With MPEG over IP inputs and outputs as well as an optional network management system, the STR is ideal for regional networks as well as cost-conscious larger networks. IDC’s new design reduces the need for on-going maintenance while improving reliability and durability.

Beyond the product showcase, IDC Vice President and CTO, Gary Carter will be speaking in a keynote panel discussion, chaired by John McCoskey, the CTO of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), a valued IDC customer. This session will focus on how IP technology is affecting content and delivery in our multi-platform world.
