Hughes Network Systems, LLC has announced that SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation has selected Hughes to supply its nexgen broadband satellite platform, the HX System.
Using the latest generation HX broadband satellite hub and terminals, the HX260 Mesh and the HX200, the HX platform enables SKY Perfect JSAT to address the needs of all its target markets. The HX260 Mesh and the HX200 high-speed terminals provide up to twice the throughput performance and build on the advanced DVB-S2/ACM bandwidth management of the highly successful HX System. Both incorporate a high-performance processor and ample onboard memory to deliver carrier-grade performance for private business networks, cellular backhaul, and a wide range of broadband applications. The HX200 supports connection to a variety of radios, including industry-standard L-band BUCs (Block Up-Converters), and is easily configured to support the full range of advanced features offered by the HX System, including mobility support. The HX260 multi-channel demodulator enables the unit to operate in full mesh mode with a single satellite hop among HX260 terminals, offering maximum network flexibility and reliability.
