This new plant will be focused on technological and engineering excellence. It will serve and improve service to some of the most important international clients of Thales Alenia Space.
For more than two decades, the Abruzzo plant has been active in the production of electronic components for the building of satellites. Over its 30,000 m2, the new plant when completed, will accommodate Thales Alenia Space’s standard production as well as new production lines dedicated to the manufacture of SAR light-weight and large satellite antennas.
The first part of this innovative project is evaluated at approximately 30m euros over the next 24 months and includes the creation of the new factory, including a large service area that will also comprise an auditorium, an exhibition area, and a fully-equipped nursery. In the following years, the ambition of Thales Alenia Space is to develop a cutting-edge industrial project in the space industry. Construction is expected to begin within the last semester of the year and the plant will be completed in the following 24 to 36 months.
