The launch follows an extensive development phase with Thuraya to fine-tune the service and link it to Vizada’s network infrastructure. Vizada, and service provider partner SeaMobile Europe, have combined ThurayaIP with their own applications and solutions to provide a packaged service to the France24 news channel. This enables France24 reporters to perform high-quality live broadcasts, as well as send emails and use internet from remote locations. France24 reporters use SeaMobile Europe’s Media ClipWay end-to-end software solution in order to send live and pre-recorded film over the ThurayaIP terminal. In addition, a new interconnection between Vizada’s IP backbone and the Thuraya network enables Vizada to provide a more user-friendly service through its range of Vizada Solutions. With Vizada’s Terralink Data Manager, users can set up personalized firewalls, monitor usage, and better manage access rights on data connectivity services. Vizada’s Scratch & Web prepaid cards also provide multiple users fixed amounts of credit in megabytes for private communications, including emails and web-browsing. During the development phase, Vizada worked closely with SeaMobile Europe and France24 reporters to ensure that the ThurayaIP service closely matched their requirements.
