This two-day event will provide a platform to explore innovative technologies and tactics for flexible, protected and interoperable CIS capabilities. The ESSOR Program by OCCAR has raised the bar of the new generation tactical communications, paving the way to an interoperable tactical SDR (software defined radio) with a strong European identity.
Fulvio Arreghini, a Technical Specialist for the ESSOR Program at OCCAR-EA Bonn, and Chedhomme Charles, an ESSOR Commercial Finance and Programme Management Support Officer, at OCCAR-EA Bonn, will present on day 2 on: 'ESSOR OC1 initial outcomes.'
Additionally, from NSSLGlobal GmbH; Peter Crafter and Zbigniew Perka, will present day 1 of the conference on: ‘Communications - Current Trends and Technology Enabler.'
They will be joining a senior speaker line-up of 21 communications experts, including senior military personnel in the J6 Command and Control Directorate, Polish General Staff. Key topics of the conference agenda include: SATCOM On The Move (SOTM), cyber electronic warfare interference, procuring new systems to collaborate with existing platforms, allied collaboration and more.
There will also be two pre-conference workshops, held on the January 31, 2018:
- Workshop A: ‘Selected Results from Applied Research to Improve Robustness in Military Tactical Networks’, hosted by: Peter Sevenich, Head of the Robust Networks Research Group, Fraunhofer FKIE
- Workshop B: ‘Towards a Cyber Strategic Research Agenda: Cyber Research Challenges and Opportunities for the Military’, hosted by: Major Salvador Llopis, Project Officer Cyber Defence Technology, European Defence Agency
