CPI's ASC Signal Division Contracted by Roberts Communications to Provide Antennas for New Vegas Teleport

Roberts Communications Network, LLC (Roberts) has selected the ASC Signal Division of Communications & Power Industries LLC (CPI) to provide seven (7) satellite antenna systems for the firm's new teleport in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Roberts has provided communications services to the pari-mutuel industry for more than thirty (30) years, pioneering the creation of simulcasting for the horse racing industry and helping fuel its subsequent rapid growth. Roberts has been diversifying into other industries that rely on satellite and terrestrial communications, and the new teleport will support the company’s continued growth.

Roberts has selected two divisions of CPI to support its newest teleport.  CPI ASC Signal Division will provide Roberts with three (3) 9.3 meter C-band systems, as well as four (4) 7.6 meter Ku- and C-band systems, all with four-port feeds.  In addition, CPI Satcom & Medical Products Division will provide the new teleport with high-quality satellite communications amplifiers.

The new teleport is set to go live on November 1, 2017.

Todd Roberts, President and CEO of Roberts Communications Network, stated that his firm selected CPI and its ASC Signal Division because of their reputation, engineering quality and heritage. Roberts designed the new teleport to serve the company's specific needs, yet also to be future-proof for expansion. Using products from CPI’s ASC Signal Division and Satcom and Medical Products Division will help accomplish this goal.

CPI ASC Signal Division president Tony Russell added that Roberts Communications Network has been a telecommunications innovator since 1984 and that CPI’s systems will be a key backbone feature of the teleport and will help Roberts to continue to offer a diverse range of communications services going forward.
