Advantech Wireless' Transcend™ 800-B Microwave Radio was selected for a microwave backhaul system by Promexar in Monterrey, Mexico. The radio provides built-in interfaces for ASI (in and out), GigE and E1, 10 MHz clock and 1 PPS, carrying native video, native IP and native TDM traffic simultaneously and provides high reliability with lower operational and support costs.
The Transcend™ 800 Microwave Radio from Advantech Wireless carries native Video, IP and TDM traffic, where traffic is combined directly in the radio frame. This is a critical feature for customers because the typical alternative, encapsulating video and TDM traffic over Ethernet, has negative system and performance implications. The Transcend™ 800 Microwave Radio is an affordable high capacity, high performance and flexible solution for demanding transmission, telecom and broadcast applications. It is available in either split-mount or all-indoor configurations and operates in RF bands ranging from 5 GHz to 42 GHz.
Bojan Skulic, Proposals Group Manager for Terrestrial Microwave Communications at Advantech Wireless remarked that their equipment design, manufacturing and delivery processes pay close attention to their customers' needs. Additionally, for their regional customers, they leverage their experience in delivering high quality video and IP-based centric and networking equipment in order to meet their specific needs in security and quality. Skulk added that it provides a clear path for seamless integration with their existing networks.
Christian Fragoso, Managing Director at Promexar noted that the Advantech Wireless Transcend 800 system provides the flexibility of interfaces to support their diverse network requirements. His customers appreciate the reliability and high throughput that has been consistently delivered by these products.
Advantech Wireless will be at the Satellite 2017 on March 7-9, 2017 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington. D.C. Booth number 1609.
