Satellite Infrastructure for a Top 10 US-Based DMA Now Underway

ETL Systems has been selected by a major US broadcasting network in a top 10 Designated Market Area (DMA) to upgrade its satellite infrastructure.

ETL will provide two of its best-in-class 64x64 Vortex L-band matrix systems and six of its 16-port LNB PSU (Low Noise Block Power Supply) solutions for the major contract, which will be operated at two satellite downlink facilities that the network affiliates operate within its geographical region. Plans to begin shipping and installing the equipment are projected to be end of May 2017.

The 64x64 Vortex L-band Matrix system provides hot-swap capabilities, ensuring minimal downtime in the unlikely event of a failure ensuring that costly downtime is reduced. The 16-port LNB PSU offers a compact solution for 18V LNB powering, featuring hot-swap dual redundant power supplies for reliability.

Bill Pryle, International Sales Manager for ETL Systems, indicated that the reliability and technical strength of the ETL products made the firm's products the ideal choice for the replacement of the customer’s existing system, which was 12 to 15 years old and in need of a major overhaul or replacement. The ETL Systems' RF solutions coincide perfectly with the broadcaster’s requirements.

The company is also showcasing their products at the current NABSHOW in Las Vegas, Nevada.
