Putin The Ruble Behind Phoenix


Alexander Medvedev, the Deputy Director of Russia's Khrunichev Center, has stated that the new Phoenix booster financing will being in 2018.

In a report published by Russian Space News, Medvedev said, "Financing will start in 2018. All enterprises are working to develop their own variants. I know that RSC Energia is also preparing a project. The new booster's carrying capacity is to be from 9 to 15 tons.

Roscosmos Head Igor Komarov, back in March, that the Phoenix medium booster is to be ready for use by the year 2025. The Phoenix, in future missions, may be used at the first stage for new, super heavy rockets that are being developed, according to Russia's Vice Prime Minister, Dmitry Rogozin, who reports to the country's President, Vladimir Putin.
