GomSpace's Asian Arrival Enables Increasing Global Presence

GOMSpace offers core platform additions.

GomSpace ApS (“GomSpace”), a company under GomSpace Group AB (Nasdaq First North ticker: GOMX), is bringing to Asia solutions to space-based businesses in and around Singapore that will play a major role in attracting further attention on these markets.

GomSpace provides turnkey solutions to space-based businesses including solutions for IoT, communication, tracking, surveillance and remote sensing. They provide reliable nanosatellites' platforms including advanced functionality such as inter-satellite linking, station keeping and agile pointing and off-the-shelf payloads for tracking or delivering payloads to customer requirements based on proven radio technology building blocks.

The aerospace industry is substantially growing in the entire region, and currently all Asian countries run space programs in which GomSpace’s technology can be used. GomSpace already has several customers and partners in Asia, including universities and research facilities that use GomSpace’s small and easy-to-manage nanosatellites.

GomSpace CEO Niels Buus stated that for some time, they’ve been active in Asia, but they’d like to be even closer to the market as it is growing considerably. Therefore, they’re now hiring engineers and IT specialists for GomSpace Asia, and they expect to be around five employees by the end of the year.

Sune Græsbøll Ottesen, who’s previously been Head of Sales within Defence and Security in GomSpace, has been appointed Regional Director for GomSpace Asia and is now in residence in Singapore. The office in Singapore is a significant part of GomSpace’s strategy to ensure a global presence within satellite-based data collection and surveillance.
