E-SAT Providing L-Band SBD Beacons to a French Meteorological Instrument Company

E-SAT is going to provide hundreds of L-band SBD beacons and subscriptions to a leading, French, meteorological instrument company starting this month.

This three years contract confirms the interest of remote sensing monitoring through satellite for site surveys in areas with GSM coverage, or as a back-up from traditional networks in fringe areas in various countries across the globe.

The company will benefit from the latest technology advancements in terms of core modules size reduction developed either for Iridium and Globalstar networks and integrated into specific sensors as well as from satellite software expertise to forward to their customers in France, Europe, Asia and Latin America with relevant data about their onsite installation and monitor trouble shouting and alerts.

Since 2000, and based in France near Paris, E-SAT provides L band solutions to prime customers from large commercial concerns to institutions in France, Africa and Russia via various partnerships.

Sophie Proniewski, CEO of E-SAT, said that a package solution is the best way to approach this emerging market, as such requires time and specific, dedicated resources. The company can clearly see new opportunities in the M2M business on long term projects with L-band as some of the firm's customers need to control their assets and rely on the latest technology with flexible software developments to achieve their best performances.
