DEV Systemtechnik Re-Org Now Sails Under New Flag

The following announcement provides an update to the reorganized DEV Systemtechnik GmbH.

The reorganized DEV Systemtechnik GmbH continues operations at the Friedberg site of the DEV Systemtechnik GmbH & Co. KG that had become insolvent. The CATV- and SAT-RF- expert AXING is the majority shareholder of the new company. The product groups optical signal transmission (OPTRIBUTION®), RF networks for satellite communication, as well as redundancy- and matrix-switches are the important pillars in the product portfolio of the new company.

For the CATV market the newly developed MODULO system forms a promising basis for business. MODULO is the product line for the global broadband market providing a space- and cost-saving product concept for the RF- and optical signal transmission in cable headends. Moreover, AXING and DEV will implement a strategic partnership in production as well as in RF- and optical development.

Both companies can look back on more than ten years of cooperation and both envision great benefits in the newly established partnership. "With the strategic partnership we as DEV Systemtechnik GmbH see this as a great opportunity of making successful business again. We were able to preserve the jobs of 25 employees and with our well thought out business plan we are looking forward to a healthy and positive future" explains the new managing director, co-shareholder, and original founder of DEV Systemtechnik, Mr. Jörg Schmidt.

Mr. Johannes Moser, member of the executive board of AXING AG and also managing director of DEV Systemtechnik GmbH supplements: "As a long-standing strategic supplier and development partner of DEV we are looking forward with great anticipation to the cooperation. We especially expect mutual great potentials for synergies in the area of development. There is bundled competence in the RF-sector at the AXING AG; this know-how is in the area of optical transmission technologies at DEV Systemtechnik GmbH. Thus, both sides can benefit from each other." Besides synergies in development, Jörg Schmidt and the AXING AG see major benefits in the collaboration and in the marketing of the new MODULO product series. "We were significantly involved in the development of the majority of the MODULO system modules and thus we know the advantages of the system as well as their marketing opportunities" elaborates Johannes Moser.
