Sevis' New Vice President will Take Care of Marketing, Backhaul Products and Services 


Sevis Systems has named Richard Deasington as the firm's new VP of Marketing, Backhaul Products and Services.
 
Following the addition of major mobile operators and service providers to Sevis’ new SaaS offering, the appointment of Mr. Deasington further strengthens its leadership team as the company capitalizes on the growing demand for optimization, acceleration and offload as a service.
 
Mr. Deasington is an internationally-recognized executive with 25 years of experience, holding senior-level positions in Marketing, R&D and Engineering. Prior to joining Sevis, he was Director of Market Development at VT iDirect, where he was responsible for leading market and engineering strategies on satellite backhaul including managing direct relationships with major 2G/3G macrocell vendors and small-cell manufacturers.

Mr. Deasington has been involved in a range of mobile related activities from architecting the world’s first shared 3G network to leading the design of a range of network planning tools. He is also Chairman of the Rural Special Interest Group at the Small Cells Forum. Based in Paris, France, Mr. Deasington will interface with Sevis’ senior management team and serve as the local point of contact for leading European mobile vendors, satellite players and partners.
