GVF-EMP Speakers Address The New “New” Verticals – Air, Water, Surface & Rail

[SatNews] There's always something new in this industry and so this conference will address the new "new" verticals...

The latest addition to the GVF-EMP Conference Partnership’s portfolio of global communications events takes place at the Strand Palace Hotel, London, on February 11-12, Connectivity 2014: Creating the New “New” Verticals – Air, Water, Surface & Rail.  The conference will set out to analyze “seamless connectivity” for today’s communications solutions users’, wherever they are moving around on, or above, the Earth’s land or ocean surface.

Martin Jarrold, Chairman of Connectivity 2014, and the Chief of International Program Development with GVF, has commented that “The conference program reflects the satellite industry’s new huge growth opportunity. Advances in satellite technology, interfacing of satellite networking with other broadband wireless access technologies, and demand from a wide range of user sectors for a universal seamless connectivity, which only with the contribution of satellite can be fully realized, have come together to render commercially viable services and solutions which have effectively created new mobile communications user verticals.”

The conference is presented in association with sponsors; Intelsat, Kymeta, Hughes, and SES, and supporting associations, APEX (the Airline Passenger Experience Association), and InterManager (the International Ship Management Association).

The GVF-EMP Partnership and the Connectivity 2014 sponsors have provided a Free-of-Charge registration facility for industry professionals. Mr Stahl added, “Connectivity 2014 is the most experimental, perhaps avant-garde, conference programme the Partnership has produced to date. It will cover some subject areas which necessitate a deeply penetrating gaze into the future, and the speakers who have agreed to contribute to the programme deserve a lot of credit for their preparedness to share the fine-detail of their analyses, insights, and projections.”
