Transponder Tumult for APSTAR-6

APT Satellite Holdings is reporting that an anomaly has occurred to their APSTAR-6 satellite that has resulted in some of the transponders having to be turned off.

A power loss is the root cause of the transponder troubles, which required customer traffic reliant upon those transponders to be suspended. The company moved their APSTAR-6C satellite into position and the services that had been negated due to the anomaly have been restored to full service. According to APT Satellite, this circumstance will not be of any additional impact to the company or their customers.
