BAE Systems Names New President and COO


BAE Systems, Inc. has announced that Tom Arseneault has been named President and COO of BAE Systems, Inc. and appointed to the BAE Systems, Inc. Board of Directors — Jerry DeMuro will continue to serve as CEO for the U.S.-headquartered organization.

For several years, Arseneault has served as COO, responsible for operational performance and delivering key business objectives across the enterprise, to include leading the Inc. Strategy and Corporate Development team. As President and COO, his responsibilities will expand to include functional leadership of the BAE Systems, Inc. organization.

Arseneault previously held senior leadership roles at BAE Systems, including president of the company’s Electronic Systems sector and executive vice president of BAE Systems’ Product Sectors.

Earlier in his career, he held positions of increasing responsibility in management and engineering with Lockheed Martin, General Electric and TASC.

Jerry DeMuro, CEO, BAE Systems, Inc., said that Tom has a proven track record leading complex organizations focused on fulfilling critical and technologically challenging missions. Based on his extensive experience across the company's international portfolio, this is a natural next step in the firm's efforts to maintain a strong leadership team. This new reporting structure will streamline Tom’s direct oversight of BAE Systems' business segments and functions for the benefit of customers, talented workforce and external stakeholders.
