ATEME provides MPEG-4 / H.264 and MPEG-2 bandwidth efficient compression technology. ATEME encoding solutions are deployed widely for broadcast contribution links, distribution, multi-screen live streaming, OTT and VOD applications.

Additionally, ATEME has launched ATEME a new encoder dedicated to broadcast contribution.

The KyrionCM5000, to be demonstrated and launched at the 2012 International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (September 6th through the 11th), offers Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) operators the latest in encoding technology within a device set to delight its day to day users. Other exhibits at ATEME’s IBC stand will include:

  • A combination of the Kyrion distribution MPEG-2/MPEG-4 encoders with the SR1000 rate allocator, the ideal solution for terrestrial and satellite broadcasters that need to squeeze more channels in a mux without compromising video quality
  • TITAN file and live transcoding for multiple screens: The demonstration will expose TITAN compression performance using EAVC4—ATEME’s latest software encoding core—in comparison with market alternatives
  • A demonstration of HEVC encoding, the upcoming compression standard, on one of the very first 4K TV displays commercially available.
