[SatNews] Where do you go in Buenos Aires when your auto-deploying satellite antenna needs servicing?

C-COM Satellite Systems Inc., (TSX VENTURE:CMI), provider of mobile auto-deploying satellite antenna systems, today announced the opening of its first service center in Argentina, in cooperation with Buenos Aires based integrator Telespazio Argentina S.A.

The Telespazio Argentina operated, C-COM authorized service center will provide local maintenance and support for the C-COM manufactured iNetVu® mobile antennas to Argentine customers. In order to obtain the authorization, Telespazio Argentina technicians have completed theoretical and practical training courses for professional troubleshooting and maintenance of the iNetVu® mobile antenna systems.

"Telespazio Argentina is one of the largest resellers of the iNetVu® mobile satellite antenna systems in South America with a significant installed base of corporate and government customers. The repair center, staffed with experienced, C-COM trained Telespazio Argentina technicians stocked with readily available spare parts, will make it possible to deliver high quality and timely support to customers in Argentina." said Leslie Klein, President and CEO of C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. "The establishment of this service center will provide Telespazio Argentina the advantages of being able to offer iNetVu® mobile customers in Argentina with access to a highly trained and experienced bilingual support team capable of delivering 24/7 technical support.

Also by having a local supply of original spare parts equipment downtime will be significantly reduced." said Paul Recalt, Director of Network and Connectivity Business Unit, Telespazio Argentina.

"This certification extends the ability of Telespazio Argentina, which owns and operates one of the most advanced teleports in the region to dramatically improve its service offering to over 100 mobile customers such as government agencies, oil and gas companies, mining and exploration firms and others spread over 3 million square kilometers of Argentina who depend on the availability of reliable satellite communications."
