Elcome International LLC, a marine solutions provider and system integrator in the Middle East, and one of the largest in the world, will present its full range of capabilities for the commercial maritime industry at SMM 2012, September 4-7. Here Elcome will showcase its new family of ELSYS marine electric switchboards, turnkey ECDIS solutions, nautical chart and folio management services, and training solutions.

“This will be our first time exhibiting at SMM,” said Jimmy Grewal, executive director of Elcome. “SMM is the largest international maritime trade show attracting visitors from all over the world, and we are taking advantage of this opportunity to raise awareness for our company and capabilities across the worldwide shipping industry.”

Based in Dubai, Elcome is a diversified supplier of turnkey solutions for marine electronics, electrical and safety systems for the world maritime industry. Elcome is the authorized sales and service agent for many of the world’s major manufacturers of marine products and systems, and manufactures its own line of typeapproved marine electric switchboards under the ELSYS brand name. The training center, which includes automated classrooms and a full bridge simulator, is operated under a partnership with Maersk Training.

“With the new IMO carriage requirements starting to come into effect, ECDIS is one of the hottest industry topics this year,” said Grewal. “At SMM, we are spreading the news that we are the world’s leading supplier of turnkey ECDIS solutions to meet the SOLAS regulations, including hardware, software, installation, integration, certification, maintenance and repairs. Our training center offers generic and type-specific ECDIS training courses to meet the international, flag state and port state control requirements.”
