Globecomm Systems... Gotta Love Those SINs (SatCom)

[SatNews] These special numbers from the GSA will allow the Company greater availability for government agency purchasing needs...

Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM) has been awarded GSA FCSA Schedule-70 Special Identification Numbers (SIN) 132-54 Transponded and 132-55 Subscription service. Both Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) awards cover a period of five years with two, five year renewal options. The overall value of the IDIQ is approximately $3 billion. The U.S. government-wide Transponded Services SIN pertains to the leasing of short and long term satellite bandwidth for most frequency bands, locations and transponder configurations. The Subscription Services SIN includes leasing short and long term communications services such as Inmarsat and Iridium as well as managed broadband services that enable robust connectivity and quick provisioning.

Dwight Hunsicker, Globecomm’s Vice President of Government Business Development, said, “The FCSA awards will allow all agencies of the US Government better access to Globecomm’s expertise and heritage as a provider of communications solutions to the Government. This contract vehicle will help connect end-users to Globecomm’s broad array of offerings spanning narrowband, BGAN, and broadband satellite service options. These new SIN’s will complement other equipment and services already on the company’s GSA Schedule 70 and allow customers to procure complete end-to-end solutions.”
