...to its NVISION 9000 router control system. These system improvements enable new customer options for router system upgrades thanks to uncompromising, bi-directional communications with all NVISION routing systems and many legacy, third-party router systems. This provides total confidence once a connection is established, and takes can be requested via established tie-lines from any control system within the facility.


With the new NVISION 9000, existing routing infrastructures can be completely modernized in a painless, three-step progression. SD systems can migrate to 3Gbps/HD without scrapping an existing routing and control system. Miranda’s seamless bridging to legacy routers with the NVISION 9000 enables the user to minimize disruptions as the transition takes place, but at a modest cost when compared to a complete overhaul. Miranda’s complete routing system transition plan includes three easy steps.

  • Step one includes adding a hybrid NVISION router with 3Gbps/HD capabilities under a supported legacy, third party controller. The NVISION router’s transparency preserves the investment in the existing control system and requires no operational changes
  • Step two involves expanding the new routing system with added capacity and the advanced NVISION 9000 controller and control panels, which can also operate many third-party controllers. The new control system enables the facility to integrate tie-line control and use virtual sources and destinations. This dual-control approach still preserves the original investment because both control systems are bi-directional, meaning that all panels can see all routers in the system
  • Step three provides the highest level of control and flexibility with a full switchover to the new NVISION 9000 controller and panel system that includes drivers for the legacy routing infrastructure via its native control protocol. This allows the use of advanced panels throughout the system, for multi-hop tie-lines, plus virtual source and destination status indicators
